Moving to Texas from her native Minnesota in the late 70’s for college, Beth Ann Jenkins pursued her love of flying, financing the process with, among other things, selling vacuum cleaners door to door. Completing her Flight Instructor Certificate, she discovered a true love for flight instructing, leading to the opening of the still thriving Pilots Choice Aviation flying school in 1986. Alumni of her flight school can be found all over the world, flying for airlines, corporations, and in a wide variety of aviation occupations. Having grown up with an avid aviator for a father, she nurtured her fascination with the aircraft and people of World War Two by joining the CAF, and became a pilot sponsor of the B-25 “Yellow Rose.” This soon led to her involvement with Devil Dog, and since she has held several officer positions in the squadron and remains the only bomber qualified female pilot and instructor in the CAF.
Beth was the founder of the Central Texas Airshow in 1986 and is currently the Show Coordinator and Air Boss.
